Mara Sidai Camp; Mara Sidai Camp is located in Maasai Mara Game Reserve about 800 meters from ololaimutiek gate. Mara sidai camp is nestled under a canopy of indigenous trees creating a cool retreat from the heat of the plains, the leafy canopy attracts large variety of bird life all day long and you will be gently awaken by a chorus of bird call every morning.
Mara Sidai Camp is located 250 Kilometers from Nairobi by road and just 45 Minutes by air in Maasai Mara Game Reserve – the richest Game Reserve in Kenya and one of the seventh wonders of the world. Mara Sidai Camp is located near the Ololaimutiek Gate on the South – Eastern end of the Mara Triangle.
Mara Sidai Camp sits on a prominent ridge in the Maasai Mara ecosystem with each tent located beneath a granite outcropping and overlooking the expansive plains and swamps of Gosuwa. The camp offers walking safaris with trained guides, night drives and daytime game drives.
Mara Sidai Camp has permanent self contained tents with four poster single beds, double beds, twin beds and triple beds. All the tents have private lash toilets and hot/cold showers. Lighting is provided by a diesel run generator which runs from 1830 Hours in the evening up to 2200 Hours.
Solar lamps are provided in case of generator failure guaranteeing continuity in lighting. Sockets are provided in all tents for charging of digital cameras and mobile phones.
The word Sidai is the Maasai greeting which directly translated means good. It can also mean well-being and contentment, the latter which captures the mood of the camp.
