Set in what is considered Kenya’s prime wildlife area, Mara Leisure Camp is located along the Talek River, at the confluence of the Maasai Mara’s four wildlife viewing areas, on the northern boundary of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
Mara Leisure Camp is located within one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Maasai Mara Game Reserve. One of the most exciting spectacles in the world is that of the ‘,Great Migration’, where two million wildebeest, zebras and other herbivores pass through the Maasai Mara/Serengeti ecosystem in Kenya and Tanzania. This is a perilous migration for the animals, where they encounter many river crossings, and have to run the gauntlet of crocodiles in waiting.
Normal check out time is 10:00am and check in time starts from 1130am. Should you wish extend these times, please inquire at the reception. We will try our best to accommodate late checkouts. Guests are reminded to clear their accounts in good time before their departure to avoid last minute rush.
For the discerning palate, we have expert chefs who deliver mouth watering 5 star cuisine for all three meals of the day... With an extra cost you can enjoy these in the bush for that ultimate experience. Breakfast is served daily, between 6.00am & 9.30am
Accommodation facilities include 1 exclusive honeymoon tent, 8 spacious 'jumbo', tents, 17 standard 'nyati', tents and 3 family 'jamii', cottages. With these, all social groups are adequately catered for.
Room décor: Room amenities: each room in this tented accommodation is superbly furnished, four-poster beds and verandas overlooking the hippo-filled river, private bathrooms (hot/cold water) and all ensuite facilities.
Special features: The camp has spacious verandah overlooking the river private lounge tent for each two, three or four tent units, swimming pool, Gift Shop, elevated viewing tower for cocktails, suspension bridge over the Talek River, safe deposit facility for valuables and indoor games are available from reception.
