Shella Bahari Guest House is a small family run guesthouse in the small village of Shela on Lamu Island.
Shella Bahari Guest House is one of few ocean front guest houses on Lamu Island. Within a few minutes of walking the famous twelve kilometre unspoilt beach lies waiting for you. Bahari started out as a small restaurant in 1989 but has been extended with five double ensuite bedrooms. Enjoy the hospitality of Lamu Island; just relax or take part in some of many activities offered.
Fish, lobster, crab and fresh oysters. Wine and spirits are not included. Excellent international cuisine and Swahili fish.
On the first floor, raised above beach level, there is a stunning, edgeless, fresh water swimming pool. It has a sunbathing ledge, a sheltered bar room and low comfortable baraza seats.
SPECIAL FEATURE: Dhows make regular stops to Shela so it is easy to ride into Lamu or you can walk the shore path and take in the scenery.
