Like an incomparable jewel, The Funzi Keys nestles peacefully in the private white sands of its own peninsula. With a special kind of hospitality it welcomes guests into a garden paradise of friendly calm and natural luxury.
Designed to blend unobtrusively with its idyllic beachfront setting and to reflect the influence of the local culture and coastal architecture, the accommodation consists of nine spacious sea front cottages set along the high-water line and eight sea view cottages, all constructed of stone and thatch with large netted windows open to the balmy sea breezes.
Each of the individually designed rooms has a hand carved king-sized four-poster bed and is furnished with local wooden artefacts and colorful fabrics. Beachfront cottages additionally have a jacuzzi with spectacular sea view! All cottages are provided with fans, safes and beach accessories in the oversized bathroom. In front of each cottage is a private sitting area where guests can enjoy a drink and watch the sun go down in total privacy.
The island invites not only for sunbathing and relaxing but it provides a lot of leisure and sports activities as well as tours and excursions.
The most unforgettable is the Island hopping to the Archipelago of Lamu. Divers and Snorkelers will love the beautiful underwater world and reef of the Chale Marine Park. For leisure shoppers we have a boutique and a wood carving center.
Restaurant & Bar: At the heart of The Funzi Keys is the informal yet stylish main building, where guests can relax and enjoy refreshing drinks served from the dhow-shaped bar or sample delicious island fare featuring freshly caught seafood and locally grown fruits and vegetables in the upper-level restaurant that overlooks the water.
