WATER-SPORTS  DIVING:The warm waters of the Indian Ocean are your play ground whether you want to sail [at extra cost], canoe or windsurf. The marine park on our doorstep provides an opportunity to see and learn about exotic fish and coral life. Scuba diving is available at Turtle Bay Beach Club (free scuba diving initiation in the swimming pool) and it is very accessible with the outer reef being only 10 minutes boat ride. Over 1000 fish species have been identified and it is recognized as one of the richest marine areas in the world.

TENNIS: Day and night on a floodlit tennis court with free group tuition.

POOL: The size of the pool is 24m x 10m, 3.4m deep and 1.86m deep at shallow end. Open between 7.00am 06.00pm.Lifeguard not provided.

• Full breakfast and dinner offered in the main restaurant by the pool, which seats 300 and has smoking and non-smoking areas overlooking Watamu beach. The meals are buffet style. 
• Full lunch is offered at the Snack Bar at the poolside in buffet style and also snacks from 12.00 p.m. ? 6.00 p.m. 
• Blue Turtle Restaurant on the beach is regularly utilized in the evenings as a waiter service area. Guests need to book in advance for this area. A la carte menu at an extra charge and also run for special occasions (weddings, etc). 
• Pizzeria (Kasaramba Restaurant) overlooking tropical water ponds offers a variety of oven fresh pizzas and other meals for lunch and evening at an extra charge for some meals.

Bars

There are three bars:

• -Pool Bar  Opens at 10 am and closes at 1 am. A popular area during day and evening time.
• -Kasaramba Bar   Next to the pizzeria in a quieter location. Opens from 11 am 2 pm and 6 m 11 pm.
• -Dunes Bar  Right on the beach where you can enjoy branded drinks at an extra charge. 
• Opens from 10 am 1 am.

Special feature: Being amongst the top five beaches in the world, the Club offers excellent water sports facilities in a national Marine Park hosting an abundant variety of fish, coral and marine life. Plus hundreds of birds species to see and enjoy. As one of the first coast eco-hotels, Turtle Bay Beach Club has been awarded the Bronze Rating from Eco-Tourism Society of Kenya.

The club has 150 rooms set amongst 10 acres of tropically landscaped gardens. All rooms are ensuite with fans and air-conditioning.

Super Club Rooms - 65 Rooms

These rooms have been extensively renovated and redecorated, all have a separate bath and showers, balcony, split unit air-conditioning, coffee and tea facilities and a complete mosquito proof sleeping area. These rooms are also equipped with a double and single bed; some of these rooms have interconnecting doors and 3 have been specifically designed for physically handicapped clients with showers only.

Lamu Rooms - 44 Rooms

These are cottage style units, all renovated and new decorated, with some overlooking the ocean or garden. All with split unit air conditioning and ceiling fan, coffee and tea facilities, ensuite bath and shower or showers only, twin beds (or Queen size on request) and mosquito proof sleeping area, patio or terrace. Suitable for 2 adults.

Ocean Front Rooms - 14 Rooms

14 rooms which have been extensively refurbished; are beach front all with air-conditioning and ceiling fan, separate bath and shower, double and single bed, a complete mosquito proof sleeping area and balconies or patios with direct beach access. Have tea/coffee facilities. Suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Standard Rooms - 24 Rooms 

All 24 standard rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fan, bath and shower, twin beds (or queen sized beds on request) and patio suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Some interconnecting rooms are also available.

2 Sea - View Suites 

Lounge and bedroom with split unit air - conditioning, Lamu bed with mosquito net, personalized fridge, coffee and tea making facilities. Separate shower and bath suitable for two adults.

All arrivals will be checked in at the reception lounge. You will be given a welcome drink and a cold towel while the reception team is looking after you. Reception is open 24 hours throughout the week and a Manager on Duty will help you out with Information and needs you might require.

International calls, local calls and faxes may be made through reception. The hotel provides complimentary e-mail service for the use of sending and receiving guest e-mails. The Internet is accessible at an additional cost.

Foreign Currency Exchange facilities are available at the cashier's desk behind reception. The local currency is Kenya Shillings. The exchange rate provided is straightforward and does not involve any hidden charges or commissions. Due to the Government restriction, please note that Kenya Shillings cannot be converted into Foreign Currencies.

The club honors Visa and Master cards. The hotel is unable to give cash advances on credit cards; however, the Barclays Bank in Malindi is allowed to do so. Personal cheques are not accepted in the Club.

SHOPPING AREA: Covering a variety of merchandise including a boutique, a jeweler and an excursions office.

DOCTOR: Doctor available for consultation at the Club at an extra cost from Monday Friday at 8.00 a.m.  9.00 a.m. and between 2.00 p.m.  3.00 p.m. Saturday 9.00 a.m. 9.30 a.m. Sunday 8.30 a.m. 0 9.00 a.m. Reception will also call him in case of an emergency. Staff is also trained in first aid and has a supply for anti-septic and bandages for small cuts or abrasions.
