The Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, and Amboseli combination safari is called “Classic” because it combines Kenya’s most iconic destinations, showcasing diverse ecosystems (arid savannahs, flamingo-filled lakes, and open plains), the Big Five, rare species like the Samburu Special Five, breathtaking landscapes (including Mount Kilimanjaro views), and rich Maasai and Samburu cultural experiences, creating a well-rounded and unforgettable African safari adventure.

Day 1 – Nairobi to Samburu.

Your tour starts with pick up at 7:00 AM from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and drive to Samburu. This drive will take about 6 to 7 hours with diverse views ranging from the raw country side, the central highlands of Kenya, the equator line and views of Mt Kenya. Arrive in Samburu by lunch time and check into your lodge/camp, have a hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive. After the game drive, we head back to camp to reach by around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner. Overnight at your Camp.

Day 2 & 3 – Samburu Full Day Game Drives.

Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, you depart with Intriga Adventures guide for an early morning game drive. Later around 10:30 AM, return to accommodation for a break and relax for a bit and after lunch, depart on an afternoon game drive round 3:00 PM till around 6:00 PM. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Wake up early in the morning, have breeakfast and we proceed to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Upon reaching Lake Nakuru check in, have lunch in our camp/lodge, head for an exciting game run from 3:00 PM till 6:00 PM. Later have dinner and relax for the day in the camp/lodge.

Day 5 – Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After early breakfast, proceed for morning game drives in Lake Nakuru National park and continue till around noon. Post lunch(Picnic Lunch), proceed to Masai Mara Reserve. This enormous reserve is part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. Stay for dinner and overnight in camp/lodge.

Day 6 & 7- Masai Mara

These two days itinerary are flexible and you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening and plan for today’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness hunt/kill). Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. you will stop at a picnic spot for having packed lunch and later depart on a game drive till the park is closed. Around 6:00 PM return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 – Masai Mara to Amboseli.

After breakfast, we drive to Amboseli National Park that takes approximately 7hrs. We take a lunch break in Nairobi before continuing by road to Amboseli National Park. The Park is famous for the big herds of elephants and the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. We check in have dinner/overnight in camp/lodge.

Day 9 & 10 – Amboseli National Park Full Day Game drives.

You have the flexibility and you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening and plan for these 2 days schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness hunt/kill). Day 11 – Amboseli to Nairobi 

Wake up early in the morning and Embark on a final early morning game drive to maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities. Look out for any wildlife you may have missed earlier. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from camp and proceed to Nairobi to reach by around 3:00 PM.This is where the safari ends we transfer you to hotel or Airport.
