This Safari we will cover the 8 most popular destinations in Kenya, combining the northern and southern parks – Aberdare (1 night), Samburu Reserve (2 nights), Ol Pejeta Conservancy (1 night), Lake Nakuru National Park (1 night), Masai Mara National Reserve (4 nights), Lake Naivasha (1 night), Amboseli National Park (2 nights), Tsavo West (1 night) and Tsavo East (2 nights). Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi to Aberdare. We will pickup from Nairobi Hotel or Hotel at 7:30 AM and proceed for a journey of approximately 4 to 4.5 hours (159 km). Upon arrival, you will check into your accommodation and enjoy your freshly prepared lunch. No game drives are scheduled for this day, allowing you time to relax and enjoy the cool highlands. Dinner will be served at your lodge.

Day 2: Aberdare to Samburu

After enjoying breakfast, you’ll depart Aberdare and head north to Samburu National Reserve, a drive that takes about 4 to 4.5 hours (216 km). Upon arrival and after checking into your camp, you will enjoy your delicious lunch. Then, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive. Samburu is famous for its unique wildlife, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. At around 5:30 -6 PM return to lodge and freshen up. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drives in Samburu

Enjoy a full day of game drives in Samburu. The itinerary for these days are flexible and you can discuss with your guide for your schedule for the days, previous day. After Breakfast, leave for full day game drives with packed lunch. Explore the reserve’s rugged terrain and spot Samburu’s special “Big Five” (grey zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk). You’ll have the opportunity to observe wildlife along the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River, where animals come to drink. Return to lodge at 5:30- 6 PM & freshen up. Enjoy your freshly prepared dinner & overnight stay at your camp.

Day 4 – Samburu to Ol Pejeta

Wake up early in the morning and proceed for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from camp and proceed to Ol Pejeta which is about 2 to 2.5 hours drive passing through scenic landscapes of central Kenya. Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy shortly before noon and check into your lodge or camp, have hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including the Big Five. You can focus on spotting elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes while enjoying the varied landscapes. After the game drive, we head back to lodge/camp, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner. Overnight at your lodge.

Day 5 – Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru

Wake up early in the morning and proceed for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from camp and depart to Lake Nakuru National Park with packed lunch which is about 3.5 hours drive from Ol Pejeta. Upon reaching Nakuru lodge check in, have dinner and relax for the day.

Day 6 – Nakuru to Masai Mara

Start your day early with morning game drives by 6.30 am followed by breakfast, check out and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. This drive usually takes around 5-6 hours. Upon reaching Masai Mara check in, have dinner and relax for the day.

Day 7, Day 8, Day 9 – Masai Mara

Today’s itinerary is flexible and you can discuss with your guide on the previous evening and plan for today’s schedule. You can either have a relaxed breakfast and depart for full day game drives around 9:00 AM with packed lunch and return back to lodge late afternoon around 6:00 PM. Or you can depart at 6:00 AM on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness hunt/kill). Later return to accommodation for breakfast and relax for a bit and depart on an afternoon game drive with packed lunch. you will stop at a picnic spot for having packed lunch and later depart on a game drive till the park is closed. Around 6:00 PM return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 – Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast checkout and Depart to Lake Naivasha which is about 5 hours drive. Check-in to your camp/lodge and then proceed for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11- Lake Naivasha to Amboseli

After breakfast, Start your day with a Boat Ride to Crescent Island where you will be doing a nature walk next to zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes and many types of birds. Return back to your camp/lodge in Naivasha and check out. Start your drive to Amboseli which is about 5.5 to 6 hours drive from Naivasha , with en route lunch. you can check into your accommodation and enjoy dinner at your lodge or camp and unwind after the drive.

Day 12 – Amboseli

After breakfast, depart for morning game drives around 7:00 AM and continue till about 10:30 AM. Return back to camp to relax and have lunch and then in the afternoon around 3:00 PM proceed for afternoon game drives for 3 hours and return to camp before 6:30 PM.

Note: Since Amboseli is relatively hot, game drives around noon are not usually recommended but can be arranged if you are interested.

Day 13- Amboseli to Tsavo West

Wake up early in the morning and proceed to Amboseli for game drives around 6:15 AM. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from camp and proceed to Tsavo West. This drive will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Have a packed lunch en route and Arrive in Tsavo West check into your lodge/camp. Enjoy your evening and dinner at your lodge or camp. Relax and unwind for the evening.

Day 14: Tsavo West to Tsavo East

Start your day with a morning game drive in Tsavo West, exploring more of the park’s unique features and wildlife. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Tsavo East National Park. The drive takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. Arrive in Tsavo East around midday and check into your lodge or camp. After a leisurely lunch, you can relax before heading out for an evening game drive. Tsavo East is renowned for its vast open plains and large herds of elephants, often covered in the park’s distinctive red dust. As the sun sets, return to your accommodation at around 6:00 PM for dinner and to unwind for the evening.

Day 15 – Tsavo East

We depart at 6:30 AM after breakfast on an early morning game drive (This is the best time to see the animals and a good chance to witness a hunt/kill). Later around 10:30 AM, return to accommodation for a break and relax for a bit and after lunch, depart on an afternoon game drive round 3:00 PM till around 6:00 PM. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16 – Tsavo East to Nairobi

Head out for a final early morning game drive in Tsavo East. The park is known for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife. Continue with game drives till around 9:00 AM and then head back to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from camp and proceed to Nairobi , this drive will take about 6 to 6.5 hours.
